What's this all about?
Futures Practitioners Europe is a community for independent futures and foresight practitioners based in Europe. We focus primarily on the "business-side" of futures and foresight, rather than the research. Think marketing, pricing, scoping, contracts, and staying relevant in an age of AGI.
Why? Because selling futures, foresight, and the facilitating of this work isn't always easy. And to run sustainable practices, where we earn enough money to support ourselves, we need to talk about more than methods.
Other networks and communities exist (and they are valuable!), but few are talking to the person trying to price a futures workshop or find their next client. And none focus exclusively on this challenge, for Futures & Foresight practitioners in Europe.
This community fills that gap.
And who is this for?
This community is for you if you are an independent futures and foresight practitioner based in Europe, and you are either already working with clients, or actively building toward doing so.
You're probably responsible for everything in your practice, from positioning and branding, to sales and marketing, to delivery and follow-up. A one-person operation, most likely.
For example:
- Freelancers & sole traders
- Solopreneurs
- "Tiny business" owners (practices of 1-5 people)
- Artists and creatives
- And so on

Who is behind this network?
I'm Suzanne Whitby, a futurer, facilitator, futures researcher, and the founder of Futures Fit, a futures and strategic foresight... what? Consultancy? Agency? Business? Probably all of these things.
In my conversations with fellow futures & foresight practitioners, there is a question that comes up time and again:
You can learn the skills to facilitate futures, and guide futures and foresight processes, but how do you create and build a thriving tiny practice in uncertain times?
In April 2026, I thought it might be useful to create a network to address this.
Currently, I am piloting the network as an idea. It is imperfect and still being tweaked - guinea pigs are welcome 🙂 Pop your details in the form above and I'll let you know when new meetings take place.
