Futures and foresight experiences, workshops, and processes for cities and communities
How do we involve people in imagining and shaping the future of their cities and communities?
To build better cities that are resilient to social shifts, emerging technologies, and long-term challenges like climate change, top-down approaches are insufficient.
We need people who don’t just observe or react to change, but who actively engage in shaping their communities. An “active citizenry”, if you like. To create a future that is “good” for everyone, we need to expand who gets to imagine, shape, and influence the future.
That’s where I come in.

What I offer:
I help cities and communities engage citizens in what’s possible, using participatory, playful, experiential formats that show people they have the right, the ability, and the responsibility to be part of shaping what comes next. Instead of stopping at insight and reflection, my focus is on turning engagement into sense of agency, and action.
This kind of engagement doesn’t just inspire participation. It helps cities build trust, surface diverse perspectives, and create more robust, widely supported approaches to complex challenges.
I design and run participatory futures experiences for citizens, in collaboration with cities, institutions, and organisations. Together, we take foresight out of the boardroom and into schools, communities, and public spaces, democratising futures and creating space for imagination and possibility. Instead of abstract reports, we create places where cities, communities, and citizens can work together to drive change.
Outcomes of workshops and walkshops:
Depending on the goal of the engagement, these workshops can:
- Build a sense of agency in citizens (instead of apathy)
- Increase engagement with local social, environmental, and political issues
- Encourage individualand collective—action
- Create space for collaboration between institutions and communities
- Strengthen participation in local decision-making
- Support citizen engagement and trust-building
